You should sharpen the edge of the sharpened point, lip as well, and spurs of the spade drill bit. Obviously, you should maintain 5-8 degrees of angle in the cutting edge and point angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can do this using a file as well as a drill bit sharpener tool that will cost about $20 &#8211; $25.
